Rasayana is referred to as "path of essence" in sanskript, through Ayurveda. Rasayana qualities consist of the building blocks our body needs for optimal health, immunity and to promote longevity. This drink is a rejuvenative, rasayana tonic. It is great during the colder seasons and in older age. It is beneficial for those with Vata conditions that are more depleted and diminished in their health and struggling with bone/joint disorders. I find this very comforting at night for a good night's sleep.
2 Cups Oat Milk (may substitute dairy, almond or coconut milk)
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
2 Soaked Dates
1/2 tsp Ashwagandha Powder
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Pinch Pink Himalayan Salt
1. Heat milk and all ingredients in saucepan over medium high heat, bringing to a low boil.
2. Reduce to a simmer for five minutes.
3. Blend in blender and enjoy!
